  The first Dutch fuel cell boat was introduced at the Frisian Nuon Solar Challenge – an annual race for solar boats. During the event, the sloop was the ‘chase’ express boat for VIPs attending the event, covering the whole 220km course of the race without refueling. The Knowledge Center of Yacht Building designed an electrically powered sloop equipped with hydrogen based fuel cells.
